Spring is here in Hutchinson, and just in time for Mother’s Day.
Often we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, and find ourselves forgetting to enjoy the small things in life. We are swept off our feet with keeping up our lives, that we forget to stop and smell the roses.
Life is beautiful and deserves to be appreciated, cherished and loved. Since moving to Minnesota, I have missed my family tremendously. Spending more time visiting with my mom then I ever have in my life (Thank God cell phones all have unlimited voice now), has really put me in touch with what we need to be appreciating while we can.
All those years I wasted, not spending time with my folks when I lived just minutes away, all really put in perspective to me how much we need to cherish the moments and time we have with our friends and loved ones.
When I was asked to photograph a session for this amazing family on Mothers Day, my heart melted a little bit. Forever, this family will remember this session, and how they spent this Mother’s Day.
This Mother’s day will never be forgotten. How sweet Emma was so camera shy and how she clung to her mom’s until I magically got her to smile, even if it involved grandma bribing her with a red lollipop and some leaves.
How Toren was obsessed with me taking a photo of her (after I had to break down that fake shy wall she had). How absolutely shy Zoey was and how mature and classy Mila was. And how Devon pretended to hate every minute of it, all while letting his teenager show 😉
It was fun to get to see a glimpse into this amazing family, and get to know the personalities of all these amazing kids.
Overall, I left this Mother’s Day session with a smile on my face, and everyone laughing and having a good time. Not without getting in my pickup, and calling my own mom for a nice visit while I drove home.
Thank you for joining me, I loved getting to meet everyone, and I hope to work with you again soon.
